Hey Hey Hey…….. It’s Jordan here!  Launching Untold has been one of the most stressful yet eye opening experiences I have ever embarked on. In the past, writing has been a struggle for me but recently I discovered that I actually enjoy writing about others. It has been the balance that has sustained me since the unleashing of Covid-19. I have been on an emotional rollercoaster these past few months as I heard of people all across the country who were trying to survive in the face of a global pandemic and then wrestling with my own feelings as a black female  in “The Black Lives Matter” movement.  A movement sparked by the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, that led to protest, riots, and a country forced to deal with the naked truth; systematic racism.  And while I grieved alongside those families, who lost loved ones, I was undeterred in launching Untold Magazine. Why?  Because it was hearing their stories and seeing the faces of those victims that rocked us to our core and moved the world to action. We saw our sisters, our brothers, our uncles in those faces and most importantly we heard their stories.  So whether good or bad, our experiences, our stories,  our achievements and our voices matter. How  we as young adults think, feel, and navigate this thing called life is why Untold was born……
